JB is a 17 year old boy, about to graduate from high school, who lives in a changing neighborhood.  The Hood, is an older, well established, mixed ethnic neighborhood, that is beginning to change.  Drugs and prostitutes are beginning to appear on the streets, where once children played and neighbors met. 

 JB is the elder son of a one parent family.  His mother is raising her 3 children, and struggling.  JB and his mother have dreams that he will win an academic scholarship.

 JB is afraid to leave his family now that drugs are beginning to appear in the neighborhood. Does he sacrifice his future for his family and join the local drug lord?

 There is a clash of wills between mother and son as they search for answers.
